IIC Partners shines at HRM Awards
SINGAPORE — IIC Partners put in a major appearance at the HRM (Human Resources Management) Awards Feb. 26, with five members hosting a table at the official awards presentation.
Some 600 human resources and business executives from across the Asia-Pacific region attended the black-tie event at Singapore’s Ritz Carlton Hotel.
The HRM Awards recognize local and multinational companies with regional or global headquarters in Singapore. The event is significant for IIC because, as a regional headquarters, Singapore has traditionally been a source of trans-border assignments.
The IIC Partners group, including Lim Chye Lian of Singapore, Neil Morrison of Hong Kong, Anthony Ainsworth of Bangkok, Paul Lien of Beijing and Kris de Jager of Sydney, attended three days of back-to-back business meetings with 10 prospective clients and hosted four of Lim’s clients for the awards ceremony.
“We raised our profile by placing an IIC Partners advertisement in the awards-night program of events,” said Lim, IIC vice chair for Asia/Pacific. As a sponsor of the event, IIC was also featured prominently on event registration forms, invitation cards and a trophy presented to one of the honourees, as well as on large TV screens and signage during the awards evening. In addition, representatives of IIC Partners attended a pre-event cocktail party where they had the opportunity to meet HR executives of several major international companies.
“It was an exhausting, exhilarating three days but I think everyone involved would definitely do it again,” she said.
